Lauren McNamara

Lauren is an arts manager and administrator with particular interest in performing arts education and at the studio is our Customer Experience and Events Coordinator, and teaches our Musical Theatre classes and holiday programs.

In 2020, Lauren graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Arts and Cultural Management, after completing her thesis on (literally) high school musicals. Prior to this, Lauren studied at the University of Sydney and Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a Bachelor of Arts (Music).

On the rare days when Lauren is not the studio, she frequently finds herself in a rehearsal room, working with a variety of community and professional theatre companies as a director, music director, stage manager and production coordinator. Some of her credits include: First Date the Musical (2018), The Drowsy Chaperone (2018), EDGES a Song Cycle (2019), Newsies JR. (2022) and Creative Generation State Schools Onstage (2021, 2022).

Prior to joining the Bayside Dance team in 2021, Lauren was a cast member at Walt Disney World (much to the excitement of many of our young dancers!) and before that, worked in a variety of sectors includes sales, tourism, events and retail.
