Maggie McLaughlin

Maggie fell in love with dance at the age of 9, as one of Miss Kaitlin’s first students at Bayside Dance. Since then, she has completed numerous SFD ballet and jazz exams, achieving honours with distinction multiple times, in turn receiving both dancer of the year and the jazz exam award. Motivated by her love for performing, Maggie was a part of the Young Dancers’ Company from 2016 to 2021, competing in solo, duo and group routines and achieving awards for many of her performances. In 2019, Maggie was successfully nominated for a scholarship to attend the Australian Dance Festival in Sydney, where she participated in classes and workshops run by industry professionals. Whilst at school, Maggie was an assistant teacher for many years, and completed all four levels of the DanceStep student teacher training program, participating in both theory and practical work to develop her skills, knowledge and experience. Upon graduating, Miss Maggie officially joined our teaching team and is now in her second year of a Bachelor of Primary Education, and taking on her own classes, sharing her dedication, passion and love for dance with her students.
