Back into the swing of dance

It has been an absolute delight to see all the smiling faces back in the studio. Thank you everyone for your continued cooperation as we have settled into our new normal!

As per Queensland Government regulations, people who have been overseas, to Victoria, and from Sat 1 August, Greater Sydney, should not attend the studio for 14 days. If you or your dancer is feeling unwell, please stay home. Those with upper respiratory symptoms should not return until you’ve had a negative test result. Thank you for your help in keeping us safe.

This is the time of year when we are normally getting organised for our concert. We are still hoping to go ahead with it, but will keep you posted as time goes on. Please keep Sunday 1 November (rehearsal) and Saturday 14 November (concerts) in your diaries.

Also just a reminder that there are NO CLASSES on Friday 14 August for the EKKA Show Holiday or Saturday 12 September due to exams. (Classes on these days have not been invoiced.)

In the meantime, keep enjoying your classes and working towards your own personal goals.

See you on the dance floor!

Kaitlin and the Bayside Dance team

Exams this year

We are thrilled that our exams can go ahead this year despite the challenges of the times!

Students in certain levels across ballet, tap and jazz will participate in exams on Saturday 12 September. (If your child is doing an exam, you will have received information from us.)

Good luck, dancers!

Our musical this year

This year’s Musical Theatre students will be working on The Aristocats Kids musical this term and next!

While last year we were able to produce our musical (Disney’s The Little Mermaid) on stage, this year we don’t yet know what our performance will look like, but regardless of the outcome, we are so excited to explore this fantastic musical!

If your dancer is keen to join the fun, email us to add Musical Theatre to your dance timetable.

A message from the editor of dancetrain…

Hello dance students! dancetrain is dedicating its next issue to our wonderful dance teachers, to give them our thanks, love and gratitude for all they have done for us this year. Please email me dani@dancetrain.com.au a photo of you (with your teacher if you can) with your special message before August 7. Please include your name, your teachers name and the name of your dance school and also check with your parent before pressing send.

I can’t wait to read all your messages and print them in our SepOct issue!
Dani, dancetrain’s Editor

Did you see our Contemporary highlights reel from our 2019 concert!?
We are so proud of our teachers and students for creating these beautiful moments. With a grounding in ballet, this dance style is expressive and emotional. We offer Contemporary classes for dancers aged five and up. If you’ve never experienced Contemporary dance, take a moment to enjoy this short video!
