This month, we are starting our concert preparations so please read all the information in the link below!

We are getting really excited about our July holiday workshops. With some fun themes such as mermaids, unicorns, winter and teddy bears, there’s bound to be something your dancer will love to do. See below to book.

For older dancers, we have a very special order of coloured pointe shoes coming, so they can decorate a pointe shoe as well as other fun activities in the Dancing Dreams workshop.

Chookas to our Junior Dance Company and Young Dancers Company who are competing at Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge on 27 and 28 June. We know you’ll smash it! (If your dancer has been asking how they can join our competition teams next year, we will announce audition information in Term 4.)

July Holiday Workshops

WINTER WONDERLAND
(5-10 years)
Monday 5 July, 9am-3pm
Shake off the winter chills with our Winter Wonderland workshop! Enjoy snow inspired craft activities, an arctic scavenger hunt, an ice-cool hip hop class, a frozen ballet class and more!

Designed for 5-10 year olds. Boys and girls welcome.
BYO Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea
Early drop off available from 8am, late pickup until 4pm.

MERMAID MAGIC
(5-10 years)
Tuesday 6 July, 9am-3pm

Splash down at our Mermaid Magic holiday workshop! Make your own mermaid and indulge in a range of under-the-sea craft activities. Finish the day with mermaid-inspired dance classes and a treasure hunt set to make your tail wave!

Designed for 5-10 year olds. Boys and girls welcome.

TEDDY BEAR’S PICNIC
(3-6 years)
Wednesday 7 July, 9.30am- 12.00pm

If you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise!

Delight in our teddy bear’s picnic! Enjoy a bear-inspired dance class, and fur-ific craft activities. Make your own teddy bear and take them on a bear hunt before we enjoy a picnic tea party!

Designed for 3-6 year olds. Boys and girls welcome.

The perfect day for your dancer includes pointe shoe decorating, stage hair and makeup tutorial, dance dream board making, a safe stretching class, an inspiring ballet class and more! Perfect for booking with your dancing bestie!

Get your tap shoes ready for Savoyards Musical Comedy Society Inc.’s production of Hot Shoe Shuffle, from June 19 at the Star Theatre, Manly.

This production will feature a small but stellar cast of South East Queensland’s best tappers including Stewart Matthews as Wing, Clay English as Tap, Simon Battersby as Tip, Chris Jordan as Slide, Reindert Toia as Spring, Michael Effenberger as Buck and Andrew King as Slap. Joining them are Rob Emblen as Max, Natalie Lennox as April, Kristan Ford as Booth singer/Bar man and Oliana Toia as Band Singer.

It is the first time Savoyards will bring this 1992 Australian tap musical to the stage with the support of show sponsor, Bayside Dance and Exclusive Major Partner, Bloch.

Directed by Jo Toia, together with Musical Director Nicky Griffith, and co-choreographers Desney Toia and Rob Emblen, this show is set to leave you tapping all the way home!
