Huge congratulations to our gorgeous preschool dancers, who danced so wonderfully at the preschool concerts yesterday! Thank you to all the preschool families for your support in creating a fantastic performance experience for our youngest dancers. And huge thanks to Miss Kate and the preschool team for making it all happen!
Now, the ‘big kids’ can look forward to their concerts on Saturday 14 November! Although this will be a videoed performance without an audience, there will still be plenty of fun and enjoyment for the dancers on the day.
On concert day, we will be releasing our 2021 timetable and re-enrolment information! As you know, many of our classes fill quickly so there will be a priority window for existing students to book classes before enrolments open to the public. There will also be gifts! Oh yes, we love presents! Keep an eye on your inbox for more information.
You can find all the information via the link below. With so many changes this year, it’s really important to read all the information to ensure everything runs smoothly!
We are so excited to revive our Dancers Companies for 2021!Our auditioned Young Dancers Company (YDC) and Junior Dancers Company (JDC) perform at competitions and local events, and are fantastic opportunities to further engage in dance training.
If your child was accepted into the 2020 teams, they will be automatically offered a place in 2021.
If your child was not part of the 2020 teams but is interested in auditioning, here’s what to do!
How to audition
1. Record a video of your child dancing in their favourite genre – at least 1 minute long. They can do choreography of their own choice or something from your concert work.2. Email your video to hello@baysidedance.com.au or send to us via Facebook message, with your dancer’s name as the video file name.
Deadline for submissions is 27 November. Good luck! We can’t wait to watch your videos!
GAIN A DANCE QUALIFICATION
If you have a senior dancer, we are beyond thrilled to partner with Empowerdance to bring them an exciting new opportunity in 2021! The ELEVATE program allows them to gain a qualification in dance while attending school.
Term 4 runs through to Saturday 12 December. If you’re going to be away in the last week of this term, we’re more than happy for you to book in for make up classes. However, make sure you book them in prior to the end of term as make up classes don’t carry over to 2021. To book make up classes, please contact us at hello@baysidedance.com.au.
DRESS UP WEEK!
Get out those old dance costumes, recycle a Book Week costume or rustle up something from the dress up box! It’s time for Dress Up Week during 16-21 November! We can’t wait to see all the fairies, ballerinas, pirates, animals, characters and more, dancing up a storm at Bayside Dance.
Oh yes, there will be photos!
