Hopefully you’ve all enjoyed a relaxing, well-deserved break these holidays!
We are enjoying another fantastic term as we head towards our end-of-year performances. Concert and musical information has been sent out and we’ve included a link to it below as well.
This year, the concert experience will be quite different for your dancers. If you’d like to talk to your child ahead of time, we’ve written a blog to explain what they can expect this year and how to make it special for them. Read the blog below.
Although this year’s concerts and musical will be different due to Covid restrictions, we can still get excited!

AUDITIONS: PERFORMANCE TEAMS
We are so excited to revive our Dancers Companies for 2021!Our auditioned Young Dancers Company (YDC) and Junior Dancers Company (JDC) perform at competitions and local events, and are fantastic opportunities to further engage in dance training.
If your child was accepted into the 2020 teams, they will be automatically offered a place in 2021.
If your child was not part of the 2020 teams but is interested in auditioning, here’s what to do!
How to audition
1. Record a video of your child dancing in their favourite genre – at least 1 minute long. They can do choreography of their own choice or something from your concert work.2. Email your video to hello@baysidedance.com.au or send to us via Facebook message, with your dancer’s name as the video file name.
Deadline for submissions is 27 November. Good luck! We can’t wait to watch your videos!
GAIN A DANCE QUALIFICATION
If you have a senior dancer, we are beyond thrilled to partner with Empowerdance to bring them an exciting new opportunity in 2021! The ELEVATE program allows them to gain a qualification in dance while attending school.
Term 4 runs from 6 October through to Saturday 12 December. If you’re going to be away in the last week of this term, we’re more than happy for you to book in for make up classes. However, make sure you book them in prior to the end of term as make up classes don’t carry over to 2021. To book make up classes, please contact us at hello@baysidedance.com.au.
DRESS UP WEEK!
Get out those old dance costumes, recycle a Book Week costume or rustle up something from the dress up box! It’s time for Dress Up Week during 16-21 November! We can’t wait to see all the fairies, ballerinas, pirates, animals, characters and more, dancing up a storm at Bayside Dance.
Oh yes, there will be photos!
